K’taka COVID-19 update: 9886 new cases, 8989 discharges, 100 deaths on Oct 2

Bengaluru: On Gandhi Jayanti, new cases of COVID-19 were reported from across the State.

On the same day, 8,989 people were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the virus and 100 succumbed to the virus.

The tallies in the State has risen to 6,30,516 total COVID-19 cases out of which 1,12,783 are presently active and 9,219 dead.

Districts that reported a high number of COVID-19 cases are Bengaluru Urban 3,925, Mysuru 1,514, Hassana 460, Shivamogga 337, Tumakuru 302, Bengaluru Rural 283, Belagavi 258, Dakshina Kannada 258, Ballari 253, Chikkaballapura 234 and Mandya 206.
