K’taka Covid Tracker: 135 new cases, 17 discharges & 3 deaths in last 24 hours

Bengaluru: A total of 135 new cases of coronavirus was reported in the state on Wednesday, May 27 taking the tally of infected persons to 2418, the health department said.
Of the 13 new cases reported from noon to evening of May 27, seven are inter state travellers while remaining six were contacts of those infected earlier.
Meanwhile the death toll due to coronavirus rose to 47 with death of three more patients. A 69-year-old, female from Yadgir, a 49-year-old resident of Bidar and a 82-year-old man from Vijayapura succumbed to the infection.
District wise Kalaburagi accounted for 28 cases, Yadgiri 16, Hassan 15, Bidar 14, Dakshina Kannada 11, Udupi 9, six each from Davangere and Bengaluru Urban, five each from Uttara Kannada and Raichur, four each from Chikkaballarpur and Belagavi, three each from Chikkamagaluru and Vijayapura, two from Bengaluru Rural and one each from Ballari, Mandya, Kolar and Tumakuru.
Till date, 781 persons have recovered from coronavirus. This includes 17 persons discharged today. Currently the state has 1588 active cases.
