K’taka elections: Vedavyas Kamath files nomination as BJP candidate from Mangaluru South

Mangaluru: MLA and BJP candidate Vedavyas Kamath filed his nomination papers for the upcoming assembly elections from the Mangaluru South constituency on April 17. The nomination was filed at the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) office in the presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and a large number of leaders.

Kamath along with hundreds of his supporters arrived in a procession from the Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Kshetra.

Earlier in the day, Vedavyas Kamath performed puja at several temples, including Kadri Manjunatha, Mangaladevi, and Venkataramana Temple of Car Street. The procession then proceeded to Kadroli Gokarnanatha Temple, where he also performed puja.

Prominent personalities including Mayor Jayananda Anchan,  Ravishankar Mijar, Nitin Kumar, Premananda Shetty, and Sudheer Shetty were present.
