K’taka flood: Four bodies found in Mudigere

Chikkamagaluru: Rescue and relief works are on in full swing in flood ravaged districts of the state and on Sunday the bodies of four people, who were washed away in the flash floods in Mudigere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district on Saturday, were recovered on Sunday.

As per the sources, the body of Sri Harsha (21) was found near the bridge at Hanthoor. The other victims have been identified as Sheshamma (60) and her son Suresh (40). Their bodies were found at Balur in the taluk. The identity of the fourth victim is yet to be established. His body was fished out of the Sabenahali river.

Sri Harsha was going to his paddy fields at Haloor village when he slipped and fell into the swollen Hemavathy on Saturday evening.

However, Sujay (9) and Santosh (25), who were washed away in the floods, are yet to be traced.
