K’taka floods: BSY to tour flood-hit districts for 3 days from Oct 4

Bengaluru: CHuef Minister BS Yediyurappa will be touring flood-hit districts of the state on October 4, 5 and 6, in order to take stock of the relief works.
Speaking on the issue Yediyurappa said, that during his three-day tour to the flood-hit districts of the sate he would check whether the relief funds had been utilised the property.
He further added that he is expecting more funds from the Centre for the flood relief.
“Ministers and officials have been working overtime to extend all possible help to the victims. Some parts of the district are facing flood while some are reeling under drought. Development projects had to be implemented considering this adverse condition,” he said.
As many as 56 power looms belonging to weavers were destroyed in the flood in the village.
As many as 103 taluks of 22 districts were affected by recent floods for which the state government has sought a relief of Rs 38,000 crore from the Centre. Around seven districts were reeling under drought.
