K’taka girl receives smartphone from Taapsee Pannu to study for entrance exams

Bengaluru: In a noble gesture, actress Taapsee Pannu gifted a Phone to a student in the state who secured 94 per cent in pre-university college (PUC) exams.

The girl’s family has a basic phone and couldn’t afford a smartphone but needed a smartphone to study further because, in light of the COVID-19, classes, and training sessions have moved online.

When Taapsee go to know about this she came forward to help the girl and gifted her an iPhone. The phone was delivered to the girl on July 30.

“We need more girls to study. We need every child to study. We need more doctors. This is my small effort in making sure our country has a better tomorrow,” NDTV quoted Taapsee’s tweet.
