K’taka govt permits weddings at homes during lockdown

Bengaluru: The State government has revised rules for wedding ceremonies and has allowed nuptials held in homes.
Modifying its earlier order that banned all marriages from May 15 onwards, the new order states that marriages with 40 people in attendance can be held at residences.
No marriages can be held in wedding halls or other public spaces.
The order further states that permission must be obtained for the marriage from Joint Commissioner if it is to be is held in a house within municipal limits and from tehsildars in all other places.
A wedding invitation along with the application for holding the marriage must be submitted to the authorities for receiving the passes for the guests.
