The Karnataka government has revised guidelines for containment and buffer zones. It is said that too many containment zones have made it difficult for authorities to conduct surveillance activities
The state government has relaxed the norms and said no houses, flats or villas of positive patients should be barricaded with hard material.
Government claimed that in case of individuals Covid infections in an apartment complex, the entire floor will be treated as a containment zone and if it is an independent house or villa, the entire house will be treated as a containment zone.
Also, if no new case is reported for at least 14 days, the containment zone will be denotified.
