K’taka govt withdraws order prohibiting photos, videos in govt offices

Bengaluru: Facing flak from all quarters, Karnataka government withdrew its order prohibiting photography or video recording in government offices.
The decision was communicated late at night on Friday. Earlier in the day, the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms had issued the orders banning photography and videography at government offices without prior consent.
The order states that the public visiting the government officers must not take pictures or videos of government officials without their permission while in office and carrying out their duties.
