Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has ordered the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) to submit the action report against the Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) for non-compliance of the Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016 in its works.
The order was given by a division bench headed by Chief Justice Abhay Oka hearing a PIL against the MSCL.
The bench stated in its order that they are putting the respondent (MSCL) on notice until they are satisfied that the respondent is complying with the Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016 and will stop all its work if found that it is not complying.
The bench also ordered the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board to initiate criminal proceedings against MSCL for reported non-compliance.
