K’taka-Kerala borders not opened, Mangaloreans safety is priority: Vedavyas Kamath

Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath on Saturday clarified that the borders between Karnataka – Kerala at Talapady have not opened.
His reaction came after reports emerged that Kerala-Karnataka borders including Mangaluru and Kasargod highways were opened to facilitate the movement of essential goods from Kerala after Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Taking to Twitter Vedavyas wrote, “Borders between Karnataka – Kerala ( TALAPADY) has not opened. No vehicles or any individuals are allowed as of now. Stay Calm. Mangaloreans Safety is the Priority.
