K’taka: Minor earthquake shakes Vijayapura late at night

Vijayapura: A low-intensity earthquake hit the town of Vijaypura late Monday which led to panic among the residents. The earthquake struck twice around midnight and early morning.
Several residents complained of utensils and other items falling on the ground and immediately came out of their houses. The earthquake hit many places including Anandnagar, Kalikanagar, Mukund Nagar and Gacchinakatti Colony.
Also, residents complained over officials not visiting the area for further inspection as they are busy in the Gram Panchayat elections
