Hubballi: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Jagdish Shettar, has made serious allegations against the National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party , BL Santhosh.
Addressing presspersons, Shettar claimed he was denied the ticket by the BJP because of Santhosh.
Shettar, who had won six times in a row, alleged that Santhosh played an important role in the conspiracy to sideline him despite his name being recommended by the State Core Committee and Central Screening Committee, because he wanted to give the ticket to Mahesh Tenginakai instead of him.
Shettar further alleged that Tenginakai has been campaigning secretly in his constituency for the past six months, and he has claimed that a ticket is guaranteed this time.
He said that he was denied a ticket despite building the party from the grassroots level. Some senior political leaders also supported Santhosh’s conspiracy against him, added Shettar.
The allegations made by Shettar against Santhosh have caused a stir in the state’s political circles.
