K’taka received Rs 4,267 cr under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan: D V S Gowda

Bengaluru: Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda stated that Karnataka has already received Rs 4,267 crore under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and further releases will be in progressive phases.

Speaking at a joint news conference with MPs P C Mohan and Tejasvi Surya in the city on Friday, he said that the central government is helping the MSME sector. 1,58,786 in the State had to receive Rs 4,106 crore of which 87,868 MSMEs have received Rs 2,439 crore. 3,10,688 people in the State have received Rs 1,125 crore in their EPF accounts. Also, the State has received Rs 681 crore from the Building and Construction Fund.

Rs 161 crore has been distributed to the Jan Dhan bank accounts of 88,09,042 people in the State in the months of April, May and June. Under the Kisan Samman scheme, 48.39 lakh farmers in the State have received Rs 2,000 each with the total amounting to Rs 967.81 crore, he added.

He further stated that if any discrepancy is found in the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan then it should be informed to them immediately. Under the scheme announced by the Prime Minister, we will every last beneficiary and there will be no room for abuse.

During this COVID-19 crisis, everyone should have worked together to solve the problem but some are playing the blame game. A lot of people and parties are searching for stones in the curd, Gowda said.
