K’taka to get rainfall over next 4 days; orange alert issued for Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The IMD on Thursday predicted widespread rainfall for Karnataka over the next four days.
“Yellow alerts (were) issued in some districts of coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka for today and tomorrow,” Meteorologist S Adiga of IMD Bengaluru said.
He also said an orange alert has been issued for the state capital Bengaluru, ghats and the south interior parts.
The weather department stated the rains were due to a network of cyclonic circulations and a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
