K’taka to soon get 300 electric buses says Min Savadi

Bengaluru: Transport Minister Laxman Savadi on Monday announced that about three hundred electric buses will be bought by the government soon.
He made the announcement while speaking at the stone laying ceremony of a KSRTC bus station at Nrupathunga SK.
“The buses, costing Rs 2 crore each, will be bought from a foreign company. The central government will provide Rs 55 lakh subsidy,” he added.
He expressed sadness at the recently held strike by the State’s transport corporations’ employees.
