Bengaluru: Senior IAS official and the head of the COVID war room in Karnataka informed that the state will have more recovered cases than active cases.
The estimate by the state COVID-19 war room comes as a relief to Karnataka that has relaxed restrictions and allowed businesses and industries outside containment zones to resume operations from Monday.
“In (a) few days Karnataka will have more recovered cases than active cases,” Munish Moudgil, senior IAS official and the head of the COVID war room in Karnataka said.
He further added, “The change is owing to new categorization by the Union government. The Karnataka government has adopted it.”
On categorization of districts that still have active cases in orange zone, Moudgil said these points have been reported to the Union government. “The new list (categorisation) comes once in a week. The State government is examining the issue,” he said.
