We all know that the KTM RC 125 is likely to hit the Indian roads soon. Ahead of its launch, the KTM Motorcycles has released an official teaser and opened bookings for the RC 125 at a token amount of Rs.5,000. The new KTM bike will go on sale by this month end and deliveries are scheduled in the first week of July, soon after the launch.
KTM RC 125 comes as a full-faired version of the recently launched 125 Duke model. The upcoming Supersport motorcycle borrows its styling and design cues from its naked sibling, the 125 Duke. Unlike the international model, the India-spec RC 125 features an underbelly exhaust instead of a side-mounted unit, mandatory saree guard and a front license plate. The bike also sports a different colour scheme of orange with black combo.
Coming to the engine details, the upcoming RC 125 will feature the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor of the 125 Duke with a displacement of 124.7cc. The engine delivers peak power and torque outputs of 14.5PS and 12Nm respectively and comes paired with a 6-speed Manual gearbox. Also, the features like USD front forks, Monoshock rear absorber and Disc brakes of the 125 Duke are expected to be offered on the RC 125 too.
At an anticipated price tag of Rs.1.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the much-awaited KTM RC 125 will take on the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.
