Kudla Golf Charity Tournament a roaring success

Bengaluru: The 11th edition of the Kudla Golf Charity Tournament was held recently at the Bangalore Golf Club.
Golfers from the Kudla region participated in the tournament to support the education of 25 poor and disabled children studying at the Mangalajyothi school for the Deaf and Mute in Mangaluru. This year, over 96 golfers, including 14 females, from various golf clubs participated in the tournament.
The Kudla golfer of the year was Vignesh Hebbar on his gross score. Other winners were: (Category 1: Handicap 0-15) – Winner: Zubair Ahmed, 1st Runner up: Dr. Joseph Rasquinha, 2nd Runner up: Samit Thilak. (Category 2: Handicap 16-21) – Winner: Siddanth Shenava, 1st Runner up: Devika Kamath, 2nd Runner up: Rakshit Shetty. (Category 3: Handicap 22-30) – Winner: Aishwarya Raj, 1st Runner up: Vasundhara Shetty, 2nd Runner up: Radhika Manoj.
In a tournament tradition, member Romney Kamath, a golfer for over 40 years, was honoured at the tournament.
Later, talented 12-year-old Sanvi Shetty entertained the audience with her playback singing. A wide range of dishes from the Kudla region including many delicacies were served.
Century Real Estate, Austin Roach from RBD Homes, Subbu Bagilthaya of Ajantha Hotel, Shrilakshmi Kamath of Abharan Jewellers and 15 other donors contributed generously to make the event a roaring success.
