Kudroli: Murder attempt, police launch manhunt

Mangaluru: A man barged into a house and stabbed a woman on the night of Thursday May 24th. A case has been registered at Barke police station in relation to the incident.
The injured woman, a resident near Jamia Masjid in Kudroli is receiving treatment in a private hospital. The police have launched a man hunt for Sohail (40) from Firdous Nagar, Uppala.
It is said that the woman’s husband and children were away at Nadupalli mosque when she heard someone knocking at her door. Her son opened the door. The accused, Sohail, suddenly barged into the house, threatened the woman and proceeded to attack her. He went into the kitchen, picked up a knife and tried to stab the woman.
The woman suffered injuries to her right elbow, left elbow and palms. The accused fled the scene when the woman and her son shouted for help. The reason for the attack is not yet ascertained and the police are in search of the absconding accused.
