Kukke: In the backdrop of incessant rain pouring down on Malnad, Karavali and several other areas, the rivers are flowing at full spate. With the rise in rain intensity at Subrahmanya and its surrounding areas, the water level of Kumaradhara river has also increased.
On Thursday morning, the rise in the water level inundated the ‘Snanada Ghatta’ here. The water level has risen due to the continuous rain locally as well as in the ghat sections. Besides, the water level in river, strams and drains at other places in the area has also increased due to the torrential rains.
Although the water level in the river has increased, it has not affected the devotees arriving to the temple from far off places. Since a new bridge has built across the river beside the old bridge which was lying in a lower area, the problem being faced here since many years has been resolved. The only problem is that ‘Snanada Ghatta’ has been inundated.
