Subrahmanya: A heavy downpour on Sunday afternoon led to the Darpana Tirtha River in Kukke Subrahmanya overflowing for about 15 minutes, creating a flood-like situation.

The sudden heavy rainfall, which lasted for about an hour, caused the river to overflow and flood the surroundings, including the outer areas of the Adi Subrahmanya Temple.

The rains, which started around 2:15 PM with thunder and lightning, intensified around 3 PM and continued for an hour. As a result, the Darpana Tirtha River overflowed, flooding parts of the temple premises and nearby shops.

However, as the rain subsided, the water levels in the river gradually receded. Although the flood lasted only for a short period, the incident caused inconvenience to several shop owners in the area.
