Kukke Subrahmanya temple retains No. 1 position in DK district with Rs 98.9 Cr annual income

Subrahmanya:Amid the pandemic, the revenue of the temples has been hit hard due to reduced footfall, but  Kukke Subrahmanya temple has earned Rs 98.92 crore in the current year

Kukke Subrahmanya has topped the income list for the temple situated in Dakshina Kannada with Rs 45.5 crore, earnings from sevas, including sarpasamskara and sarpadosham.

Kukke Subrahmanya temple is the richest Muzrai temple and has various sources of income such as rent, agriculture, donation box and earnings from sevas.

It is said that, Rs 22 crore interest was earned from banks and Rs 18.2 crore from donation box collection.
The temple, which sees several high-profile visitors every year, earned Rs 2.2 crore from rents and contracts, Rs 4.7 crore from mass feeding contributions and Rs 4.8 crore as rent from temple halls.
