Kukkujadka: Newly married lady found dead; suspected suicide

Bellare: The corpse of a newly married lady from Kukkujae has been found in a lake near Kukkujadka and it is suspected that she must have committed suicide.

The deceased is identified as Shruti (26), wife of Kukkuje resident Harish and the corpse was found on Thursday evening in the lake. The corpse was recovered from the water by the family members with assistance from the locals and later shifted to Sullia government hospital.

The deceased is the daughter of Laxmana Gouda of Mulya in Ajjavara village and was married in the month of December 2018.

A case in this connection has been registered at Belare police station based on the complaint provided by Laxmana.
