Kulai woman gives birth to baby in ambulance

Mangaluru: The emergency medical staff of 108 ambulance services helped a 22-year-old woman, experiencing labour pain, deliver a baby boy in the ambulance itself on on Thursday, February 6 night.
Shruthi, a resident of Kulai was being taken to Lady Goschen hospital when she went into labour.The ambulance was stopped by the roadside near Pabnambur here and ambulance attendant Avinash along with help from driver Basheer made all arrangements to ensure that the woman delivers the baby safely inside the ambulance.
Later, the baby and the mother were taken to the Lady Goschen hospital for postnatal care.
