Hubli: Minister of Large and Medium Industries Jagadish Shettar on Friday said that by selectively releasing videos of the December 19 Mangaluru violence, former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy is demoralising the police force.
Speaking to reporters here Shettar said that the Home Minister will conduct an inquiry on the violence. “Use of videos for political gains must stop as it will impact the morale of the police,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Kumaraswamy released 35 video clippings of the clashes that broke out during the anti-CAA protest that claimed two lives on December 19 and demanded setting up of a House committee to probe the violence.
He insisted that House Committee consists of members of all the parties. He further said that the ongoing magisterial inquiry ordered by the government cannot be trusted.
