Kumble: In a dramatic turn of events, a suspect, arrested in connection with a fraud case attempted to escape from the cops by jumping into a river from a moving train while he was being taken to the Aluva Court.
The suspect, Saneesh (40), a resident of Idukki, was being escorted by two police officers on the Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Ernad Express train to Aluva Court. When the train reached Shoranur Bharathapuzha Bridge, Saneesh requested to use the restroom. As officers loosened his handcuffs near the restroom, he broke free and leaped from the bridge into the river below.
