Kumta-born lawyer passes California Bar exam

Sirsi: Disha Bhagwat, a young woman from Kumata taluk’s Kadekodi, was sworn in as an attorney by the State Bar of California.

She is the daughter of Bengaluru-based Disha Enterprises owner Manjunath Bhagwat and Lalita Bhagwat.

Disha completed her LLB from Christ College in Bengaluru and holds a master’s degree from the University of Southern California.

She passed a rigorous admission test conducted by the State Bar of California to be sworn in as an attorney.

Disha has previously served in a City Attorney’s Office in the USA. She also practices classical music and holds a black belt in karate.

She is the sister of Bhavna Bhagwat, a Miss Karnataka winner.
