A bus passenger had to face the ire of the general public after he spat paan on the platform at Kumta bus stand here on Sunday.

Reportedly the paan-chewing passenger spat on the platform when the bus pulled over at the bus stand. The people standing at the bus stand got angered by his act and confronted him for his lack of civic sense.

One of the persons suggested that the passenger be made to clean the stains which will serve him as a lesson.

Most of the people agreed to this and demanded that the passenger clean the spot. When the passenger tried to give the excuse that he would miss his bus, the gathered persons countered him saying that they would stop the bus but remained adamant that he clean the place.

Reluctantly, the man took a piece of cloth and cleaned the floor all by himself. This act was captured on a mobile phone which has now gone viral.
