Kundapur: 4 arrested for stealing mobile phones worth Rs 25,000 from shop

Kundapur: Four people were arrested on Friday for allegedly breaking into a shop and stealing mobile phones worth Rs 25,000 near Mooduganapathi temple of Uppunda village in Kundapur.

The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Ifzal (27), Mohammed Aseem Donna (20), Mohammed Rafi (21) and Mohammed Rahik (22), residents of Bhatkal Murudeshwar Mavalli.

It is said that the accused broke into a shop owned by Prashanth, a resident of Bijoor on July 5 and stole 17 keypad mobile phones worth Rs 25,000, Rs 3,500 cash, power banks and Bluetooth devices worth Rs 5, 000.

Mobile phones worth Rs 20,000 and a car worth Rs 8 lakh that was used in the crime were seized from the accused.
