Kundapur: 68-year-old bike rider dies after getting strangled by electric cable

Kundapur: A 68-year-old man rider died after he got strangled by an electric cable on Monday, May 17.
The deceased has been identified as Shekhar Shetty resident of Alagadde, Yarukone. The accident took place at Heroor-Arehole road in Byndoor.
Reportedly, the cables that had snapped due to the storm were being repaired, and the electrical contractor assigned with this task did not put up any signboards signaling danger to commuters.
Shekar Shetty who was riding his bike along that way got strangled by one of the cables and died.
A case in this connection has been registered at the Byndoor police station.
