Kundapur: Forest department officials have successfully trapped a 2.5-year-old female leopard, which was terrorizing villagers at Maladi near Thekkatte of the taluk.
Villagers had complained to the forest department after sighting the predatory cat roaming in the residential area near Malady Sri Nandikehswara temple.
The authorities had then laid a trap using a dog as bait to lure the leopard.
Nearly a month later the leopard finally fell into the trap on Thursday, April 28.
