Kundapur: Man arrested for raping and impregnating minor girl

Kundapur: A 23-year-old youth was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act for impregnating a minor girl under Shankaranarayana police station limits.
The arrested accused has been identified as Srikanta, a resident of Madhuvana of Yedamoge village.
It is said that the accused used to often harass the girl and rape her. She later became pregnant.
She developed health issues a few days back and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The doctors then confirmed her pregnancy.
A case has been registered.
