Kundapur: Man dies of heart attack while travelling in bus

A 50-year-old businessman died after suffering a heart attack while travelling on a private bus from Pune to Kundapur on May 1 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Prashant Shetty, a resident of Noojinabailu in Ulluru-74 village near Siddapura.
Reportedly Prashant experienced chest pain as the bus approached Honnavar and informed the conductor. He was immediately taken to a local government hospital where he passed away. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
Having run a hotel business in Pune for many years, Prashant later started Baba’s Kitchen. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he set up a marriage hall named Shyamala Palace and a lodge named Prashwin Inn in Siddapur.
He served as an office bearer of the Pune and Mumbai Bunts’ Association and was actively involved in the youth wing of the Kundapur Bunts Association and Siddapura Yaksha Nudisiri.
