Bengaluru: In a shocking instance a 46-year-old woman and her 26-year-old paramour allegedly killed the formers’ husband at the couple’s Sheshadripuram residence on Friday, September 21.
Santosh Shetty, 56, a Kundapur native is the deceased. He was the owner of ‘Mahalakshmi Hotel’ in Gandhinagar.
Shetty and Annapurna were married for over 20 years and have two children.
Things turned sour between them when Santosh got a whiff of his wife’s affair with Prakash and the couple would often end up quarrelling over the issue.
On September 20 night, Santhosh arrived home in a drunken state and picked up a fight with Annapurna who in turn, pepper-sprayed him and locked him in a room. The next day Annapurna called Prakash home after Santhosh turned aggressive. The duo is said to have hit Santhosh on the head after which he fell unconscious. A grievously injured Santhosh was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries the same day evening.
Hospital authorities intimated the police and Annapurna and Prakash were summoned for questioning. They were later arrested on charges of murder.
