Kundapur secures 6th rank in Swachh Sarvekshan-2023 survey

In the recently concluded Swachh Sarvekshan-2023 survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Union Government, Kundapur municipality has achieved an impressive 6th rank in the state. The annual cleanliness survey is a comprehensive evaluation of cities across the country.
The survey categorized cities based on population size, distinguishing between those with a population of less than 1 lakh and those exceeding 1 lakh. Conducted in four phases, the Swachh Sarvekshan-2023 assessed various parameters, including service level progress and the active involvement of local government bodies in addressing cleanliness issues. Notably, citizen feedback played a crucial role in determining the rankings.
Out of a total of 311 cities selected from the state, Kundapur municipality stood out with its 6th position. The survey, which encompassed 4,477 cities nationwide, recognized and acknowledged the commendable efforts made by Kundapur in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
