Kundapura: Fire guts 10 acres of land in Keduru

Thekkatte: A fire broke out on a ten-acre land at Kuduru village in Kundapura taluk on Sunday morning.
The incident reportedly was caused by a fire in a transformer. The fire quickly spread to about ten acres of nearby land.
More than 50 local youths successfully doused the fire.
A high school, a student hostel and about 50 houses were near the place where the fire spread. A potential disaster was averted by timely of the locals.
Firefighters from Kundapura arrived about two hours after the fire started leading a small quarrel between locals and them.
