Kundapura: Passenger from Kerala dies of cardiac arrest on train

Kundapura: A Kerala-based man travelling on a train to visit his friend’s son in Lucknow and undertake a pilgrimage died of a cardiac arrest near Moodlakatte railway station.
The deceased has been identified as Sebastian (52) from Kollam, Kerala. He was traveling with his friend, Anil Kumar B. (46), to meet Harish, a soldier posted in Lucknow who was unwell, and to visit religious sites in Ayodhya and Kashi.
On January 2, while returning on the Mangala Express train to Ernakulam, Sebastian experienced severe chest pain near Kundapura. Railway staff were alerted, and he was deboarded at Moodlakatte station for medical assistance.
The train arrived at the station at 8:54 PM, and Sebastian was immediately taken to Kundapura Government Hospital by ambulance. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
A case has been registered at Kundapura Rural Police Station based on a complaint filed by Anil Kumar.
