Kundapura: Private financier murdered in his office

Kundapura: A private financier was murdered at Kalavara in the taluk here late on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ajendra Shetty (33), a resident of Yadadi Matyadi.

On Friday night when Ajendra did not return home and was not replying to calls, his friends arrived at the finance office where they found him dead on his seat with a slit around his neck.

Soon the friends took him to a private hospital at Koteshwara where he was declared brought dead.

Ajendra had started the finance business with partner Anoop whose phone is reportedly switched off.

Shopkeepers nearby the finance office said that they saw Anoop and Ajendra in the office till 8:30 pm on Friday.

The exact cause of the murder is yet to be ascertained.

A case has been registered at Kundapur rural police station.
