Kundapura: Registration for ‘One Nation, One Card’ to start soon

Kundapura: In September 2019, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the multi-purpose card to be launched in 2021.
The registration for it is expected to start in September.
As per reports, the card project will be piloted in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Tera Software Limited in Hyderabad has been contracted for the pilot project.
The company has already initiated a recruitment process for data collectors and interviews will be held at Kundapur on August 11.
One person will be selected to cover three gram panchayats and five people will be selected for each urban area.
The registration process will be held in one gram panchayat at a time.
The registration fee for each card has been fixed at Rs 8.
The multi-purpose card will have information of different documents with the citizens including Aadhaar, driving license, bank account information, KISAN card, PAN card, ration card, voter ID card, passport, labour identity card, Ayushman, life insurance information and 21 other documents.
