Kundapura: The National Highways Authority of India has declared that the ten-year old under construction Kundapura Shastri Circle flyover will be ready before March 31.

A local resident Vighnesh Shenoy had written about the issue to the Prime Minister and had received a response from the Prime Minister’s Office that the issue has been taken up by the Secretary in the Ministry of Surface Transport and Highways.

Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje had inspected the construction work recently.

NHAI stated that the completion was delayed because of the financial crunch faced by the contractor Navyuga Udupi Tollway Private Limited and the frequent changes in the build plans.
