Kundapura: Silver crown on deity at Padukone’s Sri Ram temple stolen

Kundapura: A silver crown worth 1.5 lakhs on the deity in the Sri Ram temple at Padukone in the taluk here was stolen in the intervening night between July 13 and 14.
The stealing came to light when the temple’s priest arrived in the morning to perform the morning pooja. The priest saw the temple’s main door broken in and the crown missing.
A case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
