Kundapura: Tragedy at Arasina Gundi falls as tourist slips and falls into water; Visuals go viral

Kundapura: In a tragic incident, a young tourist slipped and fell into the waters at Arasina Gundi Falls near Kollur.

The youth has been identified as 23-year-old Sarath Kumar, a native of Bhadravathi.

Sharath, who had come to Kollur with a friend on Sunday, had gone to Arasinagundi Falls. He was reportedly standing on a rock and posing for pictures when he slipped and fell into the roaring water.

His friend immediately informed the nearby forest department staff about the incident. A search was launched with help from forest department personnel, fire brigade personnel, and locals.

Sharath was untraceable at the time of publishing the news.

The video of Sharath falling into the waterfall was captured on a mobile camera and is now going viral.
