Kundapura: Trasi Beach to become Karnataka’s second sky dining destination

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Kundapura’s Trasi Beach has been announced as Karnataka’s second “Sky Dining” destination, following Panambur Beach in Mangaluru. This thrilling experience allows diners to relish delicious food at a height of 60 to 70 feet above ground, with a panoramic view of the picturesque Trasi-Maravanthe coast, the Souparnika River, and the national highway that runs between them.
Managed by Team Mantras International, the Sky Dining cabin is constructed using transparent glass and iron. A crane lifts the cabin to a height where 16 guests can enjoy their meals while taking in breathtaking views of the beach, river, and highway below. Music will add to the experience, and a separate cabin will be dedicated to chefs and technical staff.
Udupi’s Tourism Department has given the green light for this project, and all necessary safety protocols are being followed. The Sky Dining experience is expected to begin within the next 15 to 20 days, making Trasi Beach a more attractive destination for tourists.
“This is a major step in promoting beach tourism. The project is progressing well and is likely to launch soon,” said Udupi District Tourism Officer Kumar C.U.
