Kundapura: Two arrested for attempted cattle theft at Kamalashile Temple

Kundapura: Shankaranarayana police arrested two individuals on Saturday night near Goliangadi for attempting to steal cows from the Kamalashile Temple late on June 15. Police are still searching for a third suspect.
The arrested individuals are identified as Wajid J. (26) and Faizal (40) from Bajpe, Mangaluru. The police have also seized the car used in the crime.
The accused have been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
Theft Foiled by ‘Sign-In Team’
The suspects broke the lock of the cowshed at Kamalashile around 2:45 AM on June 15. They attempted to cut the ropes of three cows with a knife. This incident was captured on the CCTV installed by the Sign-In Security Company.
The security team promptly alerted the police and temple security staff, preventing the potential theft.
