Kundapura: Hallihole village in the taluk here, reportedly the village facing the worst network issue, has finally solved this problem.
The problem was solved by a team of 10-12 enthusiastic youths and others villagers adopting the air fibre broadband system from BSNL.
This has finally relieved many in the village who had to travel 5-7 kilometres every day to attend online classes and for work from home sessions.
The air fibre system has no cable or OFC and uses a line-of-sight concept for broadband network. An antenna is provided to a house that connects to the telecommunication tower present within a range of 5 kilometres.
This system has already been installed in Sullia, Doddapete, Kamil and Madikeri.
Hallihole is the first village in the Udupi district to adopt this broadband technology and the fourth in the State.
