Kundapura: Wildfire engulfs shrubbery in Thekkatte area

Thekkatte: A wildfire erupted today around noon in the vicinity of Thekkatte Tenkamane Bettu Bailu in the jurisdiction of Thekkatte Gram Panchayat in Kundapura.

The blaze, believed to have been sparked by the combination of soaring temperatures and strong winds, engulfed a significant area, particularly affecting the shrubs growing in the Malyadi area. The fire resulted in thick smoke billowing into the surroundings.

Kundapur Fire Brigade jumped to action in containing the fire. Assistant Fire Station Officer KT Gowda, along with his team comprising Balakrishna, Nagaraja Pujari, Deepak, Dhanush Gowda, Abhishek Dhang, and Abhishek, collaborated efficiently with locals to combat the flames.
