Kundapura: Youth missing after taking money from parents

Kundapura: A 26-year-old man from Moodvaltur in Kavradi village, has gone missing after leaving for Mumbai on August 5 on the Matsyagandha Express.

The missing has been identified as Manish.

Manish, who worked as a catering salesman in Mumbai with his uncle Satish, returned home on July 31. He told his mother that he needed money to repay a debt and took Rs 50,000 from her account. He also took Rs 50,000 from his father.

On August 5, Manish left for Mumbai from the Moodlakatte railway station. When his father contacted him in the evening of the same day, Manish informed his father that he had reached Karwar.

On August 6, at 4:45 AM, he sent a WhatsApp voice message to his brother Sachin, stating that he had made a mistake, lost all the money, and didn’t know where to go next. He requested not to be searched for. His phone has been switched off since then.

A case of a missing person has been registered at the Kundapura Rural Police Station.
