Kunigal: Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna injured in firecracker mishap

Kunigal: Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna sustained an injury to his eye due to a firecracker mishap at the Huchchamastigauda circle in the town on Sunday morning.

The incident took place as Minister Rajanna was en route to Hassan from Tumkur via Kunigal to inaugurate the Shakti Yojana.

Minister Rajanna’s ardent supporters, well-wishers, and Congress workers gathered near Huchchamastigowda Circle in Kunigal town. They warmly received the minister, offering garlands and congratulations.

As part of the celebratory atmosphere, firecrackers were set off in the vicinity. Unfortunately, a spark from the burst firecracker accidentally came in contact with Minister Rajanna’s right eye.

He was taken to a nearby private hospital where ophthalmologist Dr. Ravikumar provided the necessary care. Following the initial treatment, the Cooperation Minister proceeded to Hassan to continue his scheduled activities.
