Kunigal: Mother-son duo killed, two other family members critically injured

Kunigal: In a tragic incident, a 35-year-old woman and her son were killed after their car rammed into a lorry on the National Highway 75 here on Friday night.

The deceased have been identified as Shobha and Nikhil Gowda (12). Shobha’s Husband Gangesh and daughter Bhavana suffered serious injuries have been admitted to a hospital for treatment

The family were on their way to their hometown in Sigehalli village from Bengaluru for the Ganesha festivities. The mishap took place after a lorry travelling ahead of their car applied brakes suddenly .
Police visited the spot and began an investigation.
